Justin L. Dees practices in the area of complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on trial and appellate actions involving contract disputes, fraud, shareholder disputes, directors' and officers' liability, real estate, business torts, and bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Mr. Dees also focuses on developer representation in residential and commercial transactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Dees worked in the insurance industry.
In the community, Mr. Dees advocates for abandoned, abused and neglected children as a Guardian ad litem. Mr. Dees is co-chair of the Opening Doors for Children Mock Trial Program at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, which is sponsored by Holland & Knight.
He graduated first in his law school class, and while in law school, Mr. Dees was an active member of FSU's Trial Team, placing as a regional finalist at the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Advocacy Competition in 2006. Mr. Dees received Book Awards in Advanced Civil Procedure, Bioethics and The Law, Torts, Mediation Theory and Practice, Consumer Law, Florida Dissolution of Marriage and Research and Writing II.
