James A. Park III has represented developers, sellers, and purchasers of residential, condominium, commercial, shopping center, industrial and mixed-use projects, and has had principal responsibility for the legal representation of one of Florida's largest grocery retailers, including its real estate acquisition and leasing activities. He has extensive experience in retail and office leasing transactions on behalf of both landlords and tenants, and he is an authorized agent for a number of national title insurance companies. In recent years, Mr. Park has represented purchasers, financial institutions and sellers in connection with the acquisition, construction and permanent financing, and sale of motel and hotel properties in Central Florida. Throughout his practice, he has had significant responsibilities with respect to the land acquisition, development and disposition activities of many of the phosphate mining companies doing business in Central and North Florida.
He represents numerous Florida and interstate financial institutions in connection with the Florida real estate and commercial lending activities, including industrial development and municipal bond financing transactions, construction financing, asset-based lending, and wholesale mortgage warehouse loan transactions, loan participations and problem loan workouts.
Mr. Park spent four years as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy and several years as a consultant to various federal governmental agencies.
