Kevin Coventon is a partner who shares time between the Los Angeles and Atlanta offices. As a C.P.A. and attorney, Mr. Coventon’s primary practice relates to trusts & estates litigation and probate administration. He leads a national team of Holland & Knight attorneys who represent large non-profit organizations, including colleges and universities, with respect to maximizing gifts left to the charity or institution, and recovering embezzled or misappropriated assets. Leveraging off of his accounting background, Mr. Coventon also represents banks as trustees and individual executors.
Mr. Coventon has significant trial experience, both at the state and federal court level. He has also presented numerous oral arguments before the California Court of Appeals and the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Coventon is a frequent speaker and panelist on trust & estate issues, and has had articles published by both The Chronicle of Philanthropy and The Non-Profit Times.
Mr. Coventon performs pro bono work nationally through the Holland & Knight Foundation.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Coventon worked for three years as an audit and tax specialist for Coopers & Lybrand.
