Leslie C. Candes practices in Holland & Knight's Central Florida Real Estate Group and is a member of the Retail Development and Leasing Group.. Ms. Candes has extensive experience representing a variety of clients in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, disposition and leasing at all stages from the due diligence phase and financing to construction, development and project operations. She also has experience in advising landlords and tenants, national developers, builders and operators throughout the state of Florida in the areas of planning, development, operation and commercial leasing of commercial developments, including office, retail, shopping centers, outparcels, restaurants, apartment complexes, mixed-use projects, raw land and infrastructure development, mini-storage facilities, multi-family housing developments and industrial/warehouse facilities. Ms. Candes also has experience assisting clients with development projects in Puerto Rico. She has also represented lenders and borrowers in connection with the acquisition, construction and permanent financing and refinancing of commercial properties. Ms. Candes also has experience in the development and registration of condominium projects, including the preparation and negotiation of all documents for the filing, processing and approval of both new condominium projects as well as condominium conversions.

In connection with her practice, Ms. Candes has drafted and negotiated various real estate documents, including leases, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, restrictive covenants, SNDAs, development agreements, loan documents, closing documents, environmental agreements, indemnity agreements, license agreements, condominium documents, corporate and other documentation in connection with her practice. Her experience also includes reviewing due diligence materials, including title and survey, leases, service contracts and management agreements.
