Meredith Bertel Cody is an Associate in the Public Policy & Regulation Group of Holland & Knight, where she practices environmental law. Ms. Cody's practice involves counseling clients on environmental compliance issues and regulatory requirements under RCRA, TSCA, and CERCLA, as well as under numerous other federal and state environmental laws and regulations. She also represents developers, lenders, and corporations in environmental matters involving the purchase and development of real estate. Ms. Cody has assisted various clients in conducting environmental due diligence inquiries in connection with the purchase and sale of properties throughout the country. Her practice also involves working with clients on numerous aspects of brownfields redevelopment, including counseling and analysis of complex federal and state voluntary cleanup requirements. She also has experience with lead-based paint issues and enforcement actions in both D.C. and other jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Cody practiced toxic tort and environmental litigation, focusing primarily on asbestos, silica, and toxic mold claims.
