M.J. Spelliscy practices in the Structured Finance Group within the Business Law Section. Her practice focuses on domestic and cross-border asset-based financing, leasing, sales and acquisitions. Asset types include rail cars, vessels, real estate, manufacturing facilities and satellites, with particular emphasis on commercial aircraft, corporate jets and fractional shares. She has represented participants in all roles in a wide variety of transactions, including loans, sale and leasebacks, operating and finance leases, pre-delivery payment financing, receivables financing, portfolio acquisitions, leveraged and synthetic leases, warehousing facilities and manufacturer financing. She also has experience in restructurings, workouts and bankruptcies.
Ms. Spelliscy earned her law degree from Cornell Law School in 1994. Prior to attending law school, she was a merchant banker in Sydney, Australia.
