Moira Maresky practices in the business law section. She has worked with both domestic and foreign companies, and lending institutions, operating primarily in the transportation industry. She is experienced in a wide variety of transactions related to the shipping industry, including loan agreements, consortium agreements, secured financing agreements, charterparties, ship mortgages, ship sale and purchase and finance leasing agreements.
Ms. Maresky gained extensive experience handling P&I and FD&D claims while working as an in-house lawyer for two leading P&I Clubs in London. She practiced with a firm of English solicitors, specializing in ship construction, sale and purchase and finance leasing before moving to New York City. Ms. Maresky has also been involved in a portfolio purchase, corporate due diligence, Rule B attachments and arbitration.
After completing her articles and being admitted as an attorney in South Africa, she moved to London, where she qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
