Michael Candes practices in the firm’s Construction Practice Group. He has handled complex construction litigation, including claims for defects, water intrusion, delay damages, lien foreclosures, and default terminations. Additionally, Mr. Candes has represented clients in construction licensure disputes. He has experience representing owners, subcontractors, general contractors, homebuilders and design professionals.
Mr. Candes' experience includes the drafting and negotiation of construction contract documents and related documents for various sized commercial projects. Mr. Candes also has experience in drafting standard agreements for use by general contractors. Additionally, Mr. Candes has negotiated proposed EPC agreements for power generation facilities.
Mr. Candes also dedicates a portion of his time representing pro bono clients, which includes representation of a disabled client who was the beneficiary of a trust in which funds were allegedly misappropriated by the trustees.
