Rick Hutchison's practice emphasizes contract and business torts litigation. He has experience in commercial litigation, hotel operator-owner disputes, class actions and construction litigation.
Mr. Hutchison has extensive jury trial experience in state and federal courts, including complex commercial matters. He has experience in arbitrating complex business disputes, including hotel management agreements. Mr. Hutchison has been teaching trial and deposition skills as a visiting instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) since 1997. He has also conducted presentations on how to successfully try premium fraud cases as a guest speaker for the American Insurance Services Group and Premium Audit Advisory Service (PAAS), and taught continuing legal education courses for The Florida Bar. Mr. Hutchison served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Hutchison arbitrated a dispute regarding partners' rights under a limited liability partnership agreement and a major case involving an owner's claim of gross mismanagement on behalf of an international hotel brand company.
Mr. Hutchison started his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the Dade County State Attorney's Office, Miami, Fla., under The Honorable Janet Reno.
