Sean B. Leonard is a member in the firm's Syndication Practice Group, concentrating his practice in the area of tax-advantaged business transactions, with an emphasis on the equity financing of affordable housing projects eligible for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and/or the Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit under the Internal Revenue Code. He represents many of the industry’s leading syndicators and investors in connection with these matters.
Mr. Leonard also has extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, corporate finance, general corporate and transactional matters, and intellectual property. He previously served as U.S. Legal Counsel for the management consulting arm of a publicly-traded British media company.
In the community, Mr. Leonard serves as a Panel Attorney for the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts Project in Boston. He also participates in Holland & Knight’s “Opening Doors” program as a math tutor through the program’s “Adopt-A-Class” initiative. Mr. Leonard is also involved in a number of civic and charitable activities in and around his hometown of Newburyport, Mass.
