Sarah E. Pace is a trial and appellate lawyer in Holland & Knight’s Litigation Practice Group. She has defended public companies and privately held corporate clients against claims for breach of contract, breach of asset/stock purchase agreements, breach of joint venture agreements, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and a variety of other commercial matters. On the plaintiff's side, Ms. Pace has prosecuted corporate claims involving breach of contract, breach of joint venture agreements, insurance coverage, breach of fiduciary duty, employee theft of trade secrets and confidential information, tortious interference with contract, and similar commercial matters.
Ms. Pace has represented individual plaintiffs in employment-related and First Amendment constitutional civil rights claims, and she also has experience prosecuting claims seeking to invalidate unlawful legislation.
For government clients, Ms. Pace represented the State of Illinois Department of Transportation in a number of condemnation actions brought in connection with various large-scale public improvement projects. She has also represented developers in commercial disputes, and she has defended the integrity of a TIF study (and the adoption of a TIF District) in two cases involving landowner challenges to a municipality’s condemning authority.
