Sharon Y. Eubanks is Senior Counsel in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C. office where she is a member of the Community Services Team. Ms. Eubanks is an experienced litigator, having tried over 40 cases and argued over 100 appeals. Her greatest success to date was serving as lead counsel for the United States in the largest civil RICO enforcement action ever filed, United States v. Philip Morris, et al. Following a nine-month trial, the federal district court found the defendants liable for RICO violations and ordered injunctive relief.
Ms. Eubanks worked for the Department of Justice (DOJ) for 22 years, first as a trial attorney where she worked her way up the ranks to Deputy Branch Director, Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch, National Courts before becoming a Deputy Branch Director of the Torts Branch in 1999. Ms. Eubanks was Director of the Tobacco Litigation Team Torts Branch from 2000 – 2005. Early in her career, Ms. Eubanks worked as an attorney in the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Competition (Antitrust).
Ms. Eubanks is a frequent speaker and panelist on issues of litigation, evidence, and procedure.
