Woodrow H. Pollack practices in the areas of patent, trademark and copyright law, as well as computer law, e-commerce and general commercial litigation. Mr. Pollack regularly advises clients on many aspects of intellectual property law in both litigation and non-litigation settings. He is also a member of the firm’s Electronic Data Discovery Team, utilizing his technical knowledge and background to assist clients and other attorneys with the issues that arise through e-discovery. As a registered Patent attorney, Mr. Pollack prosecutes high-technology patents in computer systems, computer software, hardware, electronic, internet and other related technologies.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Pollack worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley for numerous technology start-up companies, helping to develop and implement their backend systems.
While in law school, Mr. Pollack was an active participant and coach on Stetson’s award winning appellate advocacy teams. During law school, he interned with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, Judge Ralph Stoddard on the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Jenkins in the Middle District of Florida and Judge Edward LaRose of the Second District Court of Appeal. Mr. Pollack was a member of the Honors Program and also won book awards in Contracts, Criminal Law, Commercial Transactions and Complex Litigation. He was the winner of the Victor O. Wehle Award for demonstrating excellence in Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Pollack is also a member of the office's Pro Bono Committee, and regularly assists pro bono clients. In the community, he actively assists numerous local organizations, and is currently leading the office's fundraising efforts and participation in the 2008 American Heart Association's Heart Walk.
