Jason D. Lazarus is a trial attorney who practices in the area of business litigation. He has substantial experience representing lenders, credit card companies and other financial institutions, including in the areas of lender liability and other defensive litigation, real and personal property litigation, and pursuit of prejudgment and post judgment remedies. He also has experience defending class actions, and regularly represents parties in litigation involving wide-ranging corporate and partnership claims, contractual disputes, deceptive and unfair trade practices laws, RICO, non-compete agreements, and other business torts.
Mr. Lazarus has substantial trial experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lazarus was an Assistant State Attorney for the 4th Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville, Florida from 1998 to 2001. During his tenure as an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Lazarus investigated and prosecuted a variety of felony cases, and tried over 30 jury trials and dozens of non-jury trials.
While in law school, Mr. Lazarus served as Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Florida Law Review. His student note won the Gertrude Brick Outstanding Note Award and was published in the Florida Law Review.
