D.C. Firms Eye Opportunities After Election Surprise

The results of the presidential election may mean good news for D.C. attorneys and firms. President-Elect Trump's campaign positions, from healthcare to tax to energy, mean that regulatory fields facing policy overhauls will see a heightened demand for lawyers in the upcoming years. Attorney Rich Gold predicts an uptick in work for Washington, D.C. lawyers regardless of political affiliation.

"Any time we have this kind of upheaval, it produces a huge amount of regulatory and legal work for lawyers. That's not necessarily what people were voting for, but that is an outcome of what happened last night," said Mr. Gold.
