As consumers move online, businesses need to comply with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements not only in their brick and mortar establishments, but also on their websites. Attorney Lynn Calkins explains how companies can comply with the law requirements of the ADA.

"Typically, problems arise when certain website features are hard to use or incompatible with an assistive device that a person with a disability requires. Assistive devices include things like screen reader software, voice interactive software, and Braille output devices for the visually impaired," Ms. Calkins explains. "Another example would be closed captioning that doesn't readily pop up."
