New CEQA Study Reveals Widespread Abuse of Legal Process by ‘Non-Environmentalists’

In August, law firm Holland & Knight released the first comprehensive study of lawsuits filed under the California Environmental Quality Act, titled “In The Name of the Environment.” Here, report co-author and Holland & Knight partner Jennifer Hernandez summarizes the findings for TPR. Given that the study identified widespread litigation abuse, Hernandez proposes three moderate reforms to help curtail these practices.
