Overview

David H. Mann is a senior policy advisor in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office and a member of the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group. Mr. Mann focuses his advocacy practice on the energy transition, as well as federal funding and appropriations.

Mr. Mann represents technology companies in renewable energy, low- and zero-carbon fuels, building materials and energy efficiency, green chemistry, liquid gases and hydrogen, as well as other sustainable and circular economy innovations. He also represents trade associations and large industrial and power companies on climate, energy and environmental policy.

Mr. Mann works extensively with Congress and federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to advance client solutions and projects.

Prior to rejoining Holland & Knight, Mr. Mann was the vice president of external affairs for a renewable fuels and chemicals company, where he directed local, state, federal and international regulatory, advocacy and lobbying efforts. He previously served as senior director for building and construction at a major trade association, founded and led an alliance of construction materials products to address fire safety issues, served in the treasury department for the world's largest generator of renewable energy, and held policy positions with hydrogen and energy efficiency nonprofits.
