Daniel L. Burkard is a maritime, logistics and supply chain attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office. His practice covers a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters, primarily in the transportation, energy and trade sectors.

During his career, Mr. Burkard has represented a diverse group of clients, including logistics companies, marine terminal operators (MTOs), vessel owners and operators, steel and other heavy industry owners, and protection and indemnity (P&I) clubs. He also has advised common carriers, engineering and construction firms and joint ventures (JVs), and diverse participants in the transportation, energy and trade sectors.

As part of his practice, Mr. Burkard assists clients with international transactions, logistics and supply chain projects, economic development projects, customs and other cross-border regulatory compliance matters, trade remedies, and other business critical matters. He also assists clients in drafting and negotiating service agreements, cooperative working agreements, conference agreements, vessel-sharing agreements, berthing agreements, warehousing agreements, operating agreements, and asset-acquisition agreements. In addition, Mr. Burkard advises clients on diverse regulatory issues affecting industry transactions and projects.
