Elizabeth S. Andersen is an attorney in Holland & Knight's San Francisco office. She has more than 10 years of experience representing individuals, couples, corporate fiduciaries, private fiduciaries and charities in a wide variety of matters related to trust and estate planning, administration and litigation. Ms. Andersen is well-versed in all aspects of trust and probate administration. She frequently advises clients on the interpretation of a decedent's estate planning documents, the collection of trust and/or estate assets, fiduciary duties and avoiding conflicts of interests, subtrust funding, income and estate taxes, distributions to beneficiaries, payment of trustee's fees as well as trust modification and termination.

For charitable and individual beneficiaries named by a decedent in a trust or will, Ms. Andersen helps ensure full and timely distribution of the bequest. In addition, she represents trustees, executors and beneficiaries in all phases of litigation, including initial court pleadings, discovery, accountings, evidentiary hearings, mediation and negotiated settlements. Ms. Andersen also represents individuals and couples in connection with estate planning and transfer of property during life, upon incapacity and at death, including income, estate, gift and property tax planning.

Ms. Andersen is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in probate, estate planning and trust law.
