Crisis and Risk Communications in Public Health

Join us for this first in a series of statewide symposiums designed to promote dialogue to further incorporate community and other stakeholder perspectives into the work of the Florida Department of Health. Ms. Hartsfield, along with State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong and a panel of other experts, will explore the topic of Crisis and Risk Communications in Public Health. The panel will be moderated by Judi Spann of the Florida Public Relations Association, and pose an important question: In the age of social media and the 24-hour news cycle, how should health risk communication timing, outreach and content adapt to meet the needs of all stakeholders in Florida?
