Higher Education and Employment Law Attorney Janet Judge will be participating at the 2019 NCAA Inclusion Forum as a panelist on the "Gender Equity in Action: The Fine Art of Applying Title IX’s Athletic Equity Expectations to Your Athletics Program" panel at 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. ET and the "Preventing Campus Sexual Violence – Best Practices and Educational Tools" panel at 1:15 - 2:15 p.m.
During the "Gender Equity in Action: The Fine Art of Applying Title IX’s Athletic Equity Expectations to Your Athletics Program" panel, Ms. Judge will discuss the pros and cons of Gender Equity Committees and will examine the most efficient ways to evaluate program areas. The panel will also consider the value of comprehensive equity plans with measurable outcomes and assigned responsibilities.
Ms. Judge will provide what best practices and resources can be implemented to better educate students and staff and improve the school's efforts to prevent sexual and interpersonal violence on campus during the "Preventing Campus Sexual Violence – Best Practices and Educational Tools" panel. The panel will also discuss the importance of adhering to consistent, annual sexual violence prevention training for coaches, staff and student-athletes to comply with the Board of Governor's policy and help improve the campus' overall culture.
