45th ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility

Legal Profession Attorneys Dayna Underhill, Allison Martin Rhodes, Nellie Barnard and Peter Jarvis will be participating at the 45th ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility in Vancouver on May 29-31. This event will cover various ethics and professional responsibility topics from leading professionals across the country.
Attorney Dayna Underhill will be participating in the panel “Harassment and Discrimination in the Rule 8.4(g) and #Metoo Era” on May 30 at 10:40 a.m. to 12:00 p.m PT. The discussion will look at various discrimination and harassment issues that have taken place within organizations that employ lawyers under Model Rules 5.1, 8.3, and 8.4(g). Professionals will discuss how companies and employers should respond to these issues, explore preventable options, review practices for addressing these problems and any other discriminatory conduct in organizations.
Attorney Allison Martin Rhodes will be moderating the “Advance Waivers” panel on May 30 at 3:40 to 5:00 p.m PT. The panel will discuss what works and what doesn't when drafting and executing advanced waivers within law firms.
Attorneys Nellie Barnard and Peter Jarvis will be participating in the panel “Rule 8.4(a) and Attempted Rule Violations” on May 31 at 10:40 a.m. to 12:00 p.m PT. The Model Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(a) creates an ethical violation in regards for an attempt to participate in unethical conduct. Professionals will explore what this language means in today’s disciplinary milieu.
