Online Course

Education attorney Philip Catanzano will lead an online course on disability laws' application to higher education. Colleges and universities are subject to federal disability laws and are thus obligated to provide reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities, including students, employees and campus visitors. This eight-module course will provide an overview of the principles and procedures involved in this area of law so that university counsel and administrators can develop effective accessibility support services and navigate the challenges they may face in a higher education setting. The topics covered include physical and digital accessibility, accommodations for students in the classroom and in housing, service animals and the role of the Office of Disability Services.
