Attorneys Jeffrey Wool and William Piels will participate in the 10th Annual Cape Town Convention Academic Project Conference on September 29-30. The conference, hosted by the Aviation Working Group, will discuss the history of the Cape Town Convention along with its enforcement of international interests. Participants will reflect on different academic material assessing the impact of the CTC on a post-pandemic world.

 

Attorney Jeffrey Wool will be a speaker at the open discussion titled "The Impact of the CTC: an Assessment After 20 Years." This dialogue will analyze the economic implications of the Cape Town Convention since its establishment in 2001. He will then commentate on two additional sessions, titled "CTC and ESG: Green Financing" and "The Significance in Cross-Border Insolvency of AP Art XXX(4) (and Equivalent Article in the Other Protocols)." These supplementary discussions will elaborate on the Cape Town Conference's effects on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance operations as well as other protocols.

 

Attorney William Piels will speak at the session titled "The Scope and Application in Insolvency Proceedings of Art XI Alt A (10) (AP and Equivalent Provisions in Other Protocols)". This seminar will assess the judicial affairs of the protocol and how the debtor is affected by these and other agreements.
