EEO-1 Pay Data Reporting Deadline Extended to Sept. 30, 2019

As a follow-up to a previous Holland & Knight alert (see "Employers Stay Vigilant on EEO-1 Pay Data Reporting Requirements," March 21, 2019), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) told a federal judge on April 3, 2019, that it has extended by four months the deadline requiring employers with at least 100 employees, and federal contractors with at least 50 employees and a contract of $50,000 or more with the federal government, to provide pay information on employees by race, ethnicity and sex when preparing their EEO-1 reports. The deadline has been extended from May 31, 2019, to Sept. 30, 2019.
The case is National Women's Law Center v. Office of Management and Budget (Civil Action No. 17-cv-2458, DDC).
