Labor attorney Camilo García published an article in Asuntos Legales about a bill that seeks to extend paid paternity leave to 18 weeks in Colombia. Mr. García says if the project is approved, the economic and business sector would be exposed to increasing operating costs. He also insists that the economic reality of the country does not support absences of workers for such long periods.
