Access to Tax Incentives for Blue and Green Hydrogen, and FNCE, Projects

Energy and Natural Resources attorney Álvaro Andrés Camacho published an article in Lexir explaining new tax incentives for green and blue hydrogen projects, as well as Unconventional Energy Source (FNCE) projects, in Colombia. Law 2099 of July 10, 2021, classified green and blue hydrogen as Unconventional Renewable Energy Sources (FNCER), and ordered the modification of Law 1715 of 2014 to offer tax incentives for Efficient Energy Management (GEE) measures. In this article, Mr. Camacho details the tax benefits for FNCE, GEE and blue and green hydrogen projects as well as the requirements and procedures for accessing them.
