Mexico as an Opportunity for New Investments
Energy attorney Claudio Rodríguez published an article in Mexico Business News discussing opportunities for foreign investment in Mexico. He explains that a number of factors drive foreign investment, from political stability and economic systems to intellectual property protection and public security. He also asserts that, despites the challenges posed by attempts to reform Mexico's energy sector and the recently initiated discussion panel under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), the country maintains competitive advantages and can attract both horizontal and vertical investment. His article goes on to analyze some of these advantages and how the recently enacted Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in the U.S. can spur additional opportunities for foreign investors.
