Economic Sanctions for Employers That Dismiss Reporters of Sexual Harassment
Labor and employment attorney Diana Cabrera wrote an article for Lexir about the Regulatory Decree 405 of 2025, which aims to protect employees who report sexual harassment in the workplace. This decree, issued by Colombia's Labor Ministry, regulates Article 14 of Law 2365 of 2024, which establishes that firing a victim within six months after the complaint is filed will be considered retaliation or an unjust dismissal. Employers that violate this law will face fines of varying amounts depending on the situation.
