Oil and gas business leaders in Mexico are excited about the recent changes to Mexico's energy sector and want to move forward on projects. But industry scrutiny behind the scenes may be putting unexpected pressure on the Mexican government.
Partner Jose Antonio Prado said that the industry is demanding more information than either the government or Pemex had planned. He said pressure is building for the government to mount a response, and the issue could set back planned activities by several months if not longer as companies insist on greater access, transparency and more time.
