The Obama administration is under considerable pressure to levy hacking sanctions against China after its recent currency devaluation and contested territorial claims in the South China Sea. These sanctions could have significant backlash, but data privacy senior policy advisor Norma Krayem says everyone understands the U.S. has to take some action.
