POLITICO surveyed three dozen people on the cybersecurity challenges facing the U.S. for The Agenda's cybersecurity issue. Respondents said the threats to the nation's cybersecurity are serious, and a majority of those surveyed said they expect a major cyber attack to occur within the next five years, if not the next year.
“There are many things that can and should be done,” said senior policy advisor Norma Krayem. “Clearly defining roles and responsibilities amongst the various federal agencies for any cybersecurity response to an attack and creating internationally accepted cyber norms and rules of engagement should be paramount.”
