Both Clinton and Trump Said to Be Taking the Presidential Transition Seriously

According to the Director of Presidential Transition at the General Services Administration, the 2016 edition of the presidential transition is unfolding earlier and is acting with more seriousness and less frenzy than past switches. This is due to the law President Obama signed which will "set up a new infrastructure and creates a formality that gives agencies a chance to have early conversations on how resources will be used."

Due to an unusually large number of bills that weren't finalized in the regular session, public policy attorney Paul Bock, the Senate congressional liaison for the 2008 Obama-Biden transition said, "there will be lots of pressure in agencies and the campaigns to get things done in the lame duck."
