White House Urges Noncompete Ban for Certain Jobs

The Obama Administration has announced steps to limit the use of noncompete agreements, especially in cases where such restrictions unnecessarily stifle employee mobility or suppress wages. Attorney Mary Goodrich Nix agrees with such steps and adds that noncompete agreements should be reserved for employees given access to sensitive information or key customer relationships.

"The great majority of employees really should not be under a noncompete agreement," said Ms. Nix.
