Fla. High Court Ruling May Ease Path For Med Mal Suits

A recent Florida Supreme Court ruling may have a significant impact on healthcare rights and privacy. The controversial 2013 medical-malpractice law was ruled unconstitutional involved "ex parte" communications between doctors and defense counsel, which could lead to violations of patient privacy. 

"For 25 years [prior to the 2013 amendments] we were on an uneven playing field, and the legislature fixed that," said Partner Mark Delegal.
