Partner Allison Martin Rhodes moderated the "#MeToo, Unconscious/Implicit Bias and Professional Conduct" panel at Georgetown's 7th Annual Hotel and Lodging Legal Summit. Ms. Rhodes discussed the responsibility that lawyers have to report and investigate harassment and other unprofessional conduct as well as whether confidential settlements are now taboo in the post-Weinstein era. Ms. Rhodes shared a situation where a security guard allegedly spied on a "high profile" guest in a hotel spa's locker room, but there were no witnesses or video evidence. Ms. Rhodes asked several questions such as "why would you want a confidentiality agreement?" and "would confidentiality agreements result in serial offenders?" during the discussion of this scenario.
