published an article recapping Partner Nasim Fussell's previous work as the chief international trade counsel for the United States Senate Finance Committee. During her tenure, she advised Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and worked on key trade deals such as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) and the U.S.-Japan agreements. She said the USMCA was one of the most important deals in her career.
"The challenges were enormous in finding the bipartisan support to get it done in the midst of impeachment and a lot of other volatile issues," she said. "Not only did we get it done, we got it done with overwhelming bipartisan support."
Ms. Fussell joined Holland & Knight as a member of the firm's International Trade Group on August 24.
