Claims Against the Nation have Increased by $2 billion Compared to 2019 and Amount to $429 Billion

Litigation and Dispute Resolution Partner Alberto Zuleta was cited in an Asuntos Legales article about judicial proceedings against Colombia. He explained that international investment disputes have increased compared to 2019 because the country has signed several investment protection treaties. He also emphasized waiting for the outcomes of the lawsuits before analyzing them.

"Given the litigiousness of the country and the companies, the mere number of disputes against the State does not say much. Peru, for example, has won the majority of investment lawsuits filed against it. The same could happen in Colombia, but to assess the situation, we have to wait," he said.
