Fines for the Improper Use of Electronic and Electrical Waste (AEE)

Environmental attorney Margarita Solorza was quoted in an article in Pacto Global Red Colombia about fines for the improper use of electronic and electrical waste (RAEE) in Colombia. Ms. Solorza spoke about a bill introduced in 2013, which established guidelines for adopting a public policy for comprehensive RAEE management, and explained to whom and what it applies.
"This law applies throughout the national territory to natural or legal persons who import, produce, market or consume electrical and electronic equipment and manage their respective waste," she said.
