MVP: Holland & Knight's Antonia Tzinova
International Trade attorney Antonia Tzinova was interviewed by Law360 about her role in the Royal Brush Manufacturing Inc. v. United States case, which earned her a spot among the 2024 Law360 International Trade MVPs. This case prompted the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to adopt a new Administrative Protective Order process, enhancing transparency for companies involved in Enforce and Protect Act proceedings.
CBP's resulting new process was big for importers, Ms. Tzinova said. "It was the first case of this type … and it just made it a little better for the entire importer community."
She went on to discuss her journey from aspiring to work in foreign direct investments to realizing the broad and impactful scope of international trade. Her work, motivated by solving complex problems and navigating intricate issues, makes the practice rewarding. Additionally, she offered advice to junior attorneys, encouraging them to explore diverse interests and seize available opportunities.
"Figure out what you like and stick with the things that you like," she said. "It's a marathon, and you don't have to reach there quickly. You just need to be persistent and persevere."
