New York City, NY – September 16, 2010 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Fred Bass has joined the Firm's New York office as a partner. Mr. Bass, who joined the Firm from Dewey & LeBoeuf, said, "I'm thrilled to be joining the firm's highly-regarded aircraft and equipment finance group and its impressive team of professionals, some of whom I've known for 20 years."
Mr. Bass's practice will continue to focus on asset-based finance matters, including the finance and leasing of aircraft, energy facilities, rail cars, satellites, vessels, manufacturing plants and infrastructure projects, as well as a variety of structured finance and cross-border transactions.
"We could not be more pleased that Fred is joining our group. Fred is an accomplished and respected finance lawyer who will expand our broad national and international finance and leasing practice," said John Pritchard, the head of the Firm's structured finance practice. Bill Honan, the New York Office's Executive Partner stated: "With Fred's hiring, one of the Firm's strongest practice groups has become even stronger." The addition of Mr. Bass, as well as private wealth partner John Dadakis earlier this year, demonstrates Holland & Knight's commitment to build its New York office.
Mr. Bass received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
