Stephen Moss Named Hall of Fame Honoree by Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (November 8, 2013) – Holland & Knight Partner Stephen Moss was recognized as the Hall of Fame Honoree by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce (GFLCC) at their 2013 Salute to Business Awards program on Nov. 7. The Salute to Business is the Chamber’s largest award ceremony honoring outstanding individuals and businesses for their contributions to the community and local business industry.

Mr. Moss is a trustee representative and former chair of the board of the GFLCC. He currently serves as chairman of the advisory committee of Mission United, a new collaboration between the United Way of Broward County and the American Red Cross. The program supports U.S. military service members, veterans and their families in Broward County by helping them adjust to civilian life.

"Stephen's legacy of accomplishments and selfless giving is respected by many and is equal to none," noted Carolyn Michaels, executive vice president of the GFLCC.

Previous recipients of the Hall of Fame award include H. Wayne Huizenga of Huizenga Holdings; Bob Gremillion, publisher of the Sun-Sentinel; Terry Stiles of Stiles Corp.; C. Douglas Coolman of EDSA, and George Gill Jr. of Gill Hotels.

Mr. Moss practices in the areas of real property development law, hotel development and operations, title insurance and business law. He has an admirable history of service to the community. His past leadership roles include: co-founder/co-chair of the Broward Child Welfare Initiative; board of directors of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc.; development partnership council of the South Florida Wildlife Center; and board of directors of the Broward County Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association.
