NEW YORK (June 16, 2014) - Howard Suh has joined Holland & Knight's Intellectual Property Practice Group as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Suh's practice focuses on patent litigation for life science (pharmaceutical and biotechnology) companies.
"We are very pleased that Howard has decided to join the Holland & Knight IP team," said Josh Krumholz, practice group leader for the Intellectual Property Group. "His move is the fifth significant addition to our group in the past year and a half. Howard brings a wealth of knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry with more than 15 years as a patent litigator."
Mr. Suh has represented several large pharmaceutical companies in patent litigation matters. Specifically, he has worked on cases in biologics, pharmaceuticals and transgenic agricultural products. At trial, he has co-first-chaired patent infringement trials and conducted direct and cross-examination of witnesses. In addition, Mr. Suh has extensive appellate experience before the Federal Circuit and the Supreme Court.
"I am eager to work with my new Holland & Knight colleagues as they build the IP team and its pharma focus in New York," said Mr. Suh. "I look forward to the opportunity to assist the firm in creating a more significant profile in the pharmaceutical industry and working with Holland & Knight clients across industries to identify and protect their intellectual property."
Mr. Suh received a B.A. degree from Columbia University and a J.D. degree from New York University. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, he was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis in New York.
