CHICAGO (January 29, 2015) – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Sameer V. Patel has joined the firm's Chicago office as a senior counsel in the Syndication Group. He returns to Holland & Knight following a brief time at another law firm.
Mr. Patel focuses his practice on tax incentive financing, with a strong emphasis on the syndication of new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and state tax credits. He represents major institutional investors, community development entities, real estate developers and private equity firms. Prior to entering private practice, he was associate general counsel at New Markets Support Company, where he oversaw legal and compliance matters for the Local Initiatives Support Corporation new markets tax credit program.

Mr. Patel received a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University and a B.S. degree from DePaul University.
