LOS ANGELES (September 14, 2016) – Holland & Knight Partner Kenji Tatsugi has been named one of the "Most Influential Minority Lawyers in Los Angeles" for 2016 by the Los Angeles Business Journal. He is among only 40 attorneys selected for this honor based on their achievements working on behalf of the city's people and businesses.
Mr. Tatsugi is the head of Holland & Knight’s West Coast Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Practice Group. He also is member of the firm's International and Cross-Border Transactions group, with a specific emphasis on the Japan practice. During the past year, he has focused on the growing area of advising international entrepreneurs.
The Los Angeles Business Journal notes that Mr. Tatsugi has recently negotiated various international deals for Nobu, including one valued at $100 million in which an Australian billionaire acquired a 20 percent interest in the Nobu companies. He also has represented the expansion of Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, a venture with actor Robert De Niro, celebrity chef and restauranteur Nobu Matsuhisa and movie producer Meir Teper.
