ATLANTA (October 14, 2016) – Holland & Knight partner Harold T. Daniel Jr. was honored by the Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) at its biennial Champions of Justice event on Oct. 13 at the State Bar Center in Atlanta. The Champions of Justice awards recognize supporters of Georgia Legal Services who are respected members of the communities they represent and leaders in the cause of justice for Georgia’s poor.
GLSP is a statewide non-profit law firm serving 154 counties in Georgia outside the five-county metropolitan Atlanta area. GLSP has offices in 11 cities throughout Georgia and a Farmworker Rights Division in Atlanta which serves migrant and seasonal farmworkers.
Mr. Daniel served as a member of the board of trustees of GLSP for eight years and as president from 1998 to 2001. He is currently a member of the Georgia Legal Services Foundation board of trustees and is chair of its fundraising committee. Mr. Daniel is also a past president of the State Bar of Georgia.
Mr. Daniel is a partner in Holland & Knight’s Litigation Section. For more than 30 years of practice, he has routinely dealt with complex factual and legal issues involving antitrust, securities, RICO, business torts and commercial law.
