LOS ANGELES (July 10, 2017) – Finance attorney Danielle V. Garcia has joined Holland & Knight’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group. Ms. Garcia focuses her practice on representing lenders in secured finance transactions, including senior, second lien and mezzanine financings, on an asset-based, recurring revenue, cash-flow and leveraged basis. Previously, she was a partner with Blank Rome in Los Angeles.
“Danielle is among the most highly regarded finance lawyers on the West Coast,” said Matthew Fontane, co-chair of Holland & Knight’s Financial Services Practice Group. “Our clients will particularly benefit from her deep knowledge of cash-flow, asset-based and recurring revenue financing in which she is a leading practitioner in the region.”
Ms. Garcia’s representations include the establishment of credit facilities in the context of acquisitions (including tender offers), recapitalizations, refinancings, debtor-in-possession financings, working capital and other strategic financings, and related restructurings, workouts and intercreditor negotiations. She handles U.S. and cross-border financing transactions involving both public and private companies operating across all market segments, including retail, dining, technology, software, energy, transportation, importing and distribution, construction, manufacturing, service and agriculture.
“Holland & Knight’s focus on finance and financial services and its expressed goal of achieving deeper penetration with major financial institutions was a major factor in my decision to join the firm,” said Ms. Garcia. “This is an opportunity not only to grow my practice, but also to help the firm expand its financial services practice in Los Angeles and elsewhere on the West Coast.”
Ms. Garcia received a J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law and a B.A. degree from Yale University.
