SAN FRANCISCO (December 19, 2017) – The Conference of California Public Utility Counsel (CCPUC) has selected Holland & Knight partner Tara Kaushik as the newest member of its board of directors. Ms. Kaushik is a member of the firm’s West Coast Land Use and Environment Group.
CCPUC is the specialty bar association of attorneys and regulatory personnel who practice in the areas of energy, telecommunications, transportation and water regulation before the California Public Utilities Commission. It is dedicated to providing education and training on current issues pertaining to utility regulation at both the state and federal levels.
Ms. Kaushik focuses her practice on regulatory matters, with a specific emphasis on energy, natural resources and the environment. She has advised and represented clients on numerous issues before state and public utilities commissions throughout the western United States as well as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Her clients include electric utilities, energy storage companies, solar and wind developers, natural gas pipelines and marketers, oil refineries, tribal organizations, energy efficiency companies, a carbon capture and storage developer, and water utility companies.
