MEXICO CITY (July 11, 2018) – Prominent real estate attorney Luis Moreno Treviño has joined Holland & Knight's Mexico City office. He was formerly a partner with Thompson & Knight in Mexico City.

Mr. Moreno has more than 20 years of experience focusing on a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisition transactions, debt and equity investments, hospitality, and energy-related real estate projects. His background includes roles in both the private and public sectors. In the public arena, he worked with the Mexican Ministry of Finance and the international legal department of Pemex. In private practice, he has worked with law firms in New York City and Mexico City.

Mr. Moreno is consistently recognized as a leader in his practice by Chambers Latin America, The Best Lawyers in Mexico and Who's Who Legal. Mr. Moreno is actively involved in various professional organizations and currently serves as council member and past chair of the Real Estate Section of the International Bar Association and is former chair of the American Bar Association's Special Investors and Investment Structure Group within the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. Mr. Moreno is also an active member of the Mexican and Texas-Mexico Bar Associations.
He received a J.D. degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and an LL.M. degree from the University of Houston Law Center. He is licensed to practice in Mexico and New York.
